Relieve      Restore      Prevent
Pain, stiffness and discomfort may be some of the symptoms you are experiencing when you first visit us and your physiotherapist will ask you a series of questions related to your problems, work and activities to help diagnose your current problem.

A detailed physical examination of the affected area will follow. Your therapist will explain the diagnosis and discuss with you your personal treatment plan. A full range of treatments are available including mobilisation, massage, electrical treatment such as ultrasound, and usually, a structured course of exercises.

Benefits will include pain relief, a reduction in muscle spasm and tissue swelling, (caused by inflammation), an increase in mobility of the affected area and a return to the activity / sport that you may have stopped.

Your treatment plan will include physiotherapy in the clinic and, importantly, a home programme of exercises tailored to suit YOU, the individual.

These exercises are best done regularly during the rehabilitation period (guided by your physiotherapist), and these are likely to form part of your physical day-to-day routine after the clinic sessions have been completed. Awareness of the causes of the initial problem can often help prevent recurrence.
