Who are Chartered Physiotherapists?

In the U.K. there are approximately 30,000 chartered physiotherapists working within a variety of venues: hospitals, GP surgeries, schools, sports clubs and industry.

Most are based in the NHS but an increasing number are self employed.

Treatment from a Chartered Physiotherapist is a guarantee that they are trained to the highest national clinical standard (usually after a 3-4 year degree course), are governed by a code of professional conduct, qualified for State Registration and covered by professional liability insurance.

Look for the initials MCSP (Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists) and/or SRP (State Registered Physiotherapist)
